Privacy

Your privacy, in plain language.

This website collects as little as possible, never sells anything about you, and uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Here's exactly what happens and why.

Who I am

Maijra is run by M.J. (Almecia Jones). If you have any question about your information, write to contact@maijra.com.

When you send me a message

The contact form, the Senior Services consultation form and the galaxy's “Make it real” form ask for your name, your email address and your message, plus anything optional you choose to add (such as a phone number or what you need help with). This is sent to my inbox at contact@maijra.com through Resend, an email delivery service. I use it only to reply to you and to help with what you asked about. It stays in my email until it's no longer needed, and I'll delete it whenever you ask.

When you chat with Lex

Lex, the AI assistant on this site, sends your chat messages to Google's Gemini service to write its replies. This website doesn't keep your chats, and they disappear when you leave or reload the page. Google may use conversations sent to its free Gemini service to improve its products, which is why the chat window asks you not to share any personal information there.

Counting visitors

The “Visitors” number at the bottom of the pages counts each visit once, using a counting service called CounterAPI. It stores only the number, not who you are. So that moving between pages doesn't count twice, your browser keeps a small note that this visit was counted; it's erased when you close the tab.

Once the site is hosted on Vercel, Vercel Web Analytics also counts page views anonymously, without cookies, so I can see which pages are useful.

Keeping spam out

To stop automated spam, the site briefly notes the internet address (IP address) that a message or chat comes from, so it can limit how many can be sent in a few minutes. These notes expire on their own after about ten minutes. Like most websites, the hosting service may also keep standard technical logs.

Things saved only in your own browser

If you add your own star to the galaxy on the Home page, your idea is saved in your browser so your star is still there next time. It never leaves your device unless you choose to send it to me with “Make it real”. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

What I don't do

  • I don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
  • I don't use advertising, tracking cookies or social media trackers.
  • I don't send you marketing emails unless you ask for them.

Your choices

You can ask to see what I have from you, to correct it, or to delete it, at any time, by emailing contact@maijra.com. This website isn't meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If anything here changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
